River Raisin Battlefield Commemoration Registration

PARTICIPANT INVITATION

DEAR FRIENDS AND SUPPORTERS,

The 205th anniversary commemoration of the Battle of the River Raisin will be held in Monroe, Michigan, on Saturday, January 20, 2018.

Following past patterns, the day will begin with a mid-morning tactical demonstration followed by ceremonies at the River Raisin Battlefield Visitor Center, and end with an early afternoon presentation at the Monroe County Historical Museum.

As is our custom, we will be offering re-enactors a hearty luncheon at St. Paul's Church.  To help us prepare, we ask that you send in the following pre-registration form.

It is thanks to dedicated re-enactors like you that we have been able to hold the Commemoration on the site of the Battle of the River Raisin every year since 1990.  In all those years, there was only one cancellation, due to a rather nasty blizzard.

All during that time, your knowledge and passion have continued to be of enormous benefit to our local community and to the staff of the River Raisin National Battlefield Park.  We hope you can participate this coming year, and we are all looking forward to seeing you.
