Floral City Images is comprised of a dynamic husband and wife team -
Dave and Sue Grassley.
Both Dave and Sue love to shoot on location; favorite places include Side Cut Park, Sterling State Park, Downtown Toledo, and Downtown Monroe. We also truly enjoy going to our client’s favorite places, but we are always looking for new, interesting and fun locations. As a duo we are very flexible and allow many different locations and clothes changes for each shoot.
As a husband and wife team, we are also able to capture the formal and the informal moments of the event. We especially love the excitement of weddings – both of us feel it is the most important day in each couple’s life. We follow the wedding couple for the entire day. It is important to know that while one of us will be the designated photographer for the limo or bus and include multiple stops between the ceremony and the reception the other will will covering other special moments at the reception.
In addition, many clients often inquire, "Why did you name your photography business Floral City Images? We would like to share that in the early 1900’s, Monroe Michigan was affectionately named the Floral City due to the fact that the native American Lotus grew so abundantly in the local wetlands. Many nurseries thrived and shipped plants throughout the United States.
At Floral City Images we want to continue the traditions founded in the Monroe community through our photography. We proudly support Monroe and love its history and sense of community; Dave has been a resident of Monroe all of his life. |
